Welfare
Best wishes go from all us at the
branch to several of our members who are unable to attend lunches at the
moment. They go to Liz Proctor who is back in hospital, to Tony Jennings
recovering at home from a heart attack and Phil Webster recovering at home after
a fall. We also send our best wishes to Val Mantle who, following a fall, has
damaged her knee and is now waiting for an operation. Visits to any of these
would be much appreciated.
Social - Annual Lunch 2023
The Annual lunch this year was
well attended although numbers were down on last year. As usual the meal was
well served and delicious, and we all appreciated the accompanying wine or
fruit juice. Maurice did his clever card raffle and the winners took home a
great M&S token or the lovely centre flowers bought for the occasion.
Thanks once again go to the Ocean Beach Hotel for their continued support and
to Maurice and Gill who do all the organising.
