MEETINGS -3RD WEDNESDAY EACH MONTH AT RBL CLUB, CHURCH ROAD, FERNDOWN - STARTING AT 19.30 HRS        - INFORMAL LUNCHES 1ST TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH AT 12 NOON, SAME VENUE

Newsletter for Branch meeting on18th September 2019 - Please note any information for the newsletter to be passed on to Jan Bridle by the last Saturday before the next meeting; also if anyone has changed their email address or set up a new one could they please let Jan know.

Branch subs   remain at £15 and are due to be paid to the treasurer now if not already paid. Please send any cheques, made out to REA Bournemouth, to the above address for John Cusack.

Next meeting on 16th October  will be Bingo with Fish and Chips subsidised this year at £2.50 a head. Collecting the monies for this tonight for anyone not already paid.

Vacancies   A new Social Secretary is still required. Any ideas for evening meetings welcomed.

Monthly Informal Lunches
As usual held on the first Tuesday, menu lists on the table at evening meetings. Contact John Cusack for any information or to book/choose from menu if not at meeting. For the October lunch on the 1st October John will need your booking by mid-day on 25th September as he will away after that date. Please email John with your choice.
 
Congratulations  to John and Jen McDermott on the birth of their daughter, Maebha Mary Rainbow (pronounced May-va), on 7thSeptember. Special regards go to Jen who did all the hard work!

Battle of Britain Commemoration Service 8th September 2019
The REA Standard was paraded on behalf of the branch by Maurice Pearson.  Also present was Gillian Pearson, Deana Brown and Peter and Janet Bridle. Maurice had misplaced his beret but luckily Deana had brought Dennis’s beret with her so he wore that. Also commemorated at this service was the part Poole town played in the lead up to ‘Operation Overlord’ on the 75th Anniversary of the ‘D’ Day landings.

This includes a £5 ticket for the raffle which will be drawn in the same way as the one at the Summer Dinner. (Children not included)
