Richard
Silsby Sadly
we report the passing, in the Forest Holme Hospice, of Richard Silsby on 9th
May, following a long illness, aged 77. Richard
was one of our most active members, attending all events, and was Social
Secretary for a time until his illness made it too difficult for him to
continue. His army career of 24 years
was spent in the Duke of Edinburgh Royal Regiment as a French Horn player in
the Regimental Band, followed by service with the Royal Engineers Postal and
Courier Unit. We send our very sincere
condolences to his daughters, Julie and Lynne and to his three grandchildren. Information
regarding his funeral will be advised as soon as possible.
