Branch monthly Lunches and Brunches
These are informal, social
meetings where any news etc. can be passed on to those attending, and added to
the newsletter for others to read.
The last brunch at Ferndown RBL
was well attended with around 20 of us enjoying the food and company. Santa paid us a visit and left us all with a
chocolate replica of himself.
We were also given the great news
that a new venue has been found for the Saturday Brunches. From January the
brunches will be at the Barrington Centre Café in Penny's Walk, Ferndown BH22
9TH - You can park in Tesco’s car park and the centre is just past Tesco’s on
the other side of Penny’s Walk.
This month the brunch is on the
14th January at the same time as before, 10.30 and please let John
know if you will attend so he can advise estimated numbers to the café.
The lunch at Ferndown RBL will be
on Tuesday, 24th January. Please contact John Cusack to book your
place and advise him of your menu choices.
The menu is as follows:
Main Course £7.50 - Roast Beef - Steak Pie – Fish cakes, chips
& veg – Ham, egg & chips -
Lasagne - any Jacket Potato (£5)
Puddings £3
Ice-cream Sundae – Sticky Toffee Pudding – Hot Lemon Pudding – Christmas
Pudding
Branch News and Messages
To all who remember Ken and Lily Eastwood they send New
Year wishes to all. Lily is now bedbound and has carers in several times a day,
and Ken has been involved in a serious car accident which has damaged his spine
and legs. He has to have carers too whilst waiting for operations at Birmingham
Hospital. I am sure we all send our good wishes to them both with hopes for a
speedy recovery.
Also we received this message from REA HQ
Dear All

families and all the members a very Happy Christmas and a bright New Year. Thank you for all the help you have given me
