 Ken and Lily Easthope

For those of you who remember Ken and Lily, they moved back to the midlands about seven years ago.  Well, Ken came to visit Dot and Bert Martin, who have always remained friends, but without Lily who is unfortunately now in a Care Home.  She has the start of dementia and has lost the use of her legs.  Ken did all he could, with help from carers, but to no avail. We all send our love and good wishes to them both.

Recognition Lesson no1 – Veterans

1                    You always use the 24 hour clock

2                    Whenever you spell something out you use the phonetic alphabet

3                    You use acronyms thinking your civvie will know what you are talking about

4                    Your blood boils when you see civvies wearing DPM

5                    You think that eating every meal for a week with the same spoon that you licked clean and kept in the pocket of the same shirt you’ve worn all week is perfectly normal

6                    You always say ‘fancy a brew?’

7                    You have an unnatural ability to sleep anywhere and on anything

8                    You refer to everything you own as your 1157
