Branch subs    there are still a few people who have not paid their subs for 2020. The committee have decided that all members who have paid their subs in 2020 are exempt for 2021 to compensate for the lack of branch meetings and activities. Please support the branch by paying the outstanding amount of £17 either by internet banking or cheque made out to REA Bournemouth.  For bank account details please contact John Cusack by email.

Branch meetings and monthly lunches

The next gathering/meeting at Winton RBL is Wednesday September 15th.   The full address is 593 Wimborne Road Winton, Bournemouth BH9 2AR (next door to the Police Station). There are some parking spaces there but if you are able to walk please park in the adjoining side streets. We are still looking for ideas for lunch venues that could take bookings of up to around 20 in a central area

Birthdays

This month we wish a very happy birthday to Iain Davis who will be 60 on the 20th September and Richard Carter who will be 90 on the 29th September.

Bob Hucklesby

The celebration of Bob’s life at The Orangery, Merley House on 31st August was attended by his family, his many friends and most of Bournemouth REA. We saw the many photos of Bob’s life on the big screen and his son read the eulogy from his funeral. He had such a full and interesting life and will be sadly missed by us all.
