Newsletter for Branch meeting on 16th
January 2019 - Please
note any information for the newsletter to be passed on to Jan Bridle by the
last Saturday before the next meeting; also
if anyone has changed their email address or set up a new one could they please
let Jan know.
Branch subs
Remain at £15 and are
due to be paid to the treasurer now if not already paid. Please send any
cheques, made out to REA Bournemouth, to the above address for John Cusack.
Next meeting on
20th February
Will be a quiz and Gwen will start
collecting the Fish and Chip money (still £4.50) for the April Bingo night.
Monthly
Informal Lunches
As usual
held on the first Tuesday, menu lists on the table at evening meetings. Contact
John Cusack for any information and to book/choose from menu if not at meeting.
Vacancies A new Social Secretary is still required, and ideas for
evening meetings welcomed.
George Bubb
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
George Bubb on 22nd December 2018. His last posting was as Major
Instructor at Bovington from where he retired to Wareham . Our sincere condolences go to all
his family and friends. The funeral will be held on Mon 21st January
at 1pm at Poole Crematorium and the Standard has been requested. The wake is at
the Quay Thistle Hotel.
Welfare
We were very sorry to hear that Jean Watts suffered a fall at home and has broken her knee-cap. After
a spell in hospital she is now home but unable to attend meetings for a while.
We send our commiserations and wish her a speedy recovery.

Eve Beano
We all had a good evening with lots of
laughs, an xmas quiz by from the RBL,
and a lovely buffet finished off by this
amazing xmas cake made and cut by Val, although Bert had a stab at it first.
