 Welfare

Our best wishes go for a speedy recovery to John Griffiths, who has recently undergone a knee replacement.

Also best wishes go to Alistair Sword, a Chelsea in-Pensioner, who, following his stay in hospital has now been transferred to the Chelsea Hospital infirmary.

We have also heard from Ken Proctor that his wife Liz is not well and that they are not now able to get out and about. We miss them at our lunches and send them our very best wishes.

Condolences It is with sadness that we report the passing of Joan Wilby in October 2023. She was the widow of George Wilby who died in 2018. They were both long term members of the branch and will be remembered by many of you. Condolences have been sent to her family.

For those of you who remember Ken and Lily Easthope we have had the sad news of Lily’s death at the age of 87 on 17th November. Again our sincere condolences go to Ken and his family.

We also have had the very sad news of the recent passing of Wendy Grover, wife of Allan Grover. Allan was our past chairman and worked hard for our branch for many years. Wendy, along with Peggy Piggot and Gwen Griffiths provided a buffet for the meetings at the British legion club in Ferndown. We send our most sincere condolences to Allan and his family.
