Birthdays of Note  We wish a very happy 90th Birthday, on 15th January, to Ken (sleepy) Proctor from Sopley, who served from 1948-1950 in Bomb Disposal RE. He got his nickname because he told the Training Corporal to 'B****er off' when he called reveille on day one of Training. We hope he enjoys his Birthday Party with us.

Social  Bob Hucklesby was taken to lunch by his family to the Baker’s Arms Pub on 3rd Jan for his 99th Birthday  where the branch left a birthday card and a bottle of red wine for him to enjoy. He was very pleased with this and sent a note of thanks back to the branch.

Welfare  Roy Robinson has settled down well at his new care home in Salisbury but is missing his old REA comrades and would really appreciate it if anyone going to Salisbury would pop in for a visit or give him a ring for a chat.

Christmas Lunch at Ferndown RBL

Zoe did a lovely arrangement of the Christmas table with an amazing centrepiece brought in by Gill, (the photo does not do it justice). The food was great, thanks to Lee and his team, and we were treated at the end of the meal to a wonderful concert by friends of Maurice from his gardening club. Thanks go to Maurice and Gill who arranged it all.
