Burton Armed Forces Day - Sunday 20th June
14.15 hrs Assemble at Burton School, 14.30 hrs Parade through village to Salisbury Road, 15.00 hrs Commemo-ration Service at Salisbury Road. Event continues through afternoon with Fete etc.

Branch Informal Lunch - Tuesday 6th July-12 noon for 12.30 pm.
The July Informal Lunch will be held at Poole Ex-Servicemen's Club. 66 North Road. Parkstone, Poole, BH14 OLY

Mayor of Pooles's Annual Civic Parade
Peter Aldridge paraded the Branch Standard, and Bert Martin was Parade Marshall at this year's Parade.

Visit Chatham Historic Dockyard 2009 - Veterans Refund
After the Branch's visit to Chatham Historic Dockyard in June 2009, it was discovered that during Armed Forces Week 2009 entrance for Veterans was free! The Dockyard has now refunded the entrance fee of £8.50p for each of our Veterans who attended. Veterans who believe they are eligible please speak to Geoff Lord.

REA SW Group Annual Barbecue
This year's Barbecue will be held on Sunday 18th July at 22 Engineer Regiment, Parham Down. The cost of the Barbecue will be £8.00p per head. Please sign list on Table tonight, and give your cheque, made payable to "REA Bournemouth & District Branch" to Geoff Lord.
Details of arrangements expected to be available for July meeting.

Branch Meeting August
The Branch Meeting on Wednesday 18th August will be a Skittles Evening. Supper - Choice of Fish & Chips or Chicken & Chips - £2.00p per head. Please sign list on Table and pay Mike Herbert.
Help needed with setting up and putting away Skittle Alley, etc. Volunteers please contact Mike Herbert.

Annual Battle of Britain Commemoration Service 2010 - 70th Anniversary - Sunday 19th September
A letter has been received from the Royal Air Forces Association, Poole Branch giving advance notice that the above service which will be held at St. James Parish Church, Poole and inviting the Branch to be represented at same. There will be no parade as such. They would like other Ex-Service Associations to parade their Standards.
