Branch Meeting Wednesday 16th February.


Birthdays of Note. Greetings go to Peter Aldridge who will be 80 on March the 8th.
Congratulations Go to Richard and Val Mantle who celebrated their Ruby Wedding Anniversary
on the 30th of January.

Congratulations also go to one of our Standard bearers Bert Martin for receiving
The Poole Community Champion Award, in recognition of his hard work for being Parade Marshal for the Borough. This is given to a local resident who has made an outstanding contribution to the local community. The Award consists of a lapel badge and a certificate. Well done Bert.

Tonight’s Entertainment.


Tonight we welcome the return of John Combes with his Presentation entitled SWANAGE to PORTLAND. On his last visit John took us from CHRISTCHURCH to SWANAGE.

March is the Annual General Meeting.
At this meeting the election of officers will take place.

Three important posts need to be urgently filled, that of Secretary, Minutes Secretary and Social Secretary.
Please put your name forward for these posts. This is important if the branch is to run as smoothly as at present. Any other business you wish to be discussed, please let Chairman John Mason know in advance.
After the A.G.M. if any member has any items of interest from their service days and would be prepared to tell us about them (Lasting about 10 minutes). Please bring them along. Contact Peter Piggott who has agreed to arrange the programme.

Branch Annual Lunch.

This will take place at the Cumberland Hotel on Saturday the 14th of May.

1200 for 1300 Hours. Cost £13 for Members and Ladies, £15.50 for guests.
Monies will be collected at March and April Branch Meetings. Please add names and menu choice to list on table tonight.  If you are unable to attend meetings you can of course book places with menu choices by contacting  Peter Piggott  Peter has agreed to take payments tonight if you so wish.

The New Forest Normandy Veterans.

Have arranged an outing by coach to Normandy to take part in the commemorations of the D-Day Landings and the Battle of Normandy from 4th to 7th June by ferry Portsmouth, local pick up. There is a full programme each day. Accommodation in Hotel, Bayeux, full board. There are vacancies. No need to be ex Service. Cost £395 twin, £495 single (deposit £100).
